Hello,I plan on going for the first time with my 5&6 year old. I will be staying in the art of anim resort. What can be the best way to surprise the girls, since they dont know we planned this trip and believe we are going elsewhere? what can we expect

    Hi Stephany,

Surprise first trips! I hope you have a magical time with your children!

Do your children have a favorite Disney movie or character? If so, design a page using the character or movie telling them they are coming to Disney World. It can be super simple. For example, print out a Royal Proclamation saying they are requested to be at the Walt Disney World Resort by Princess Tiana or Cinderella or Jasmine.

Or a develop a quick scavenger hunt looking for pirate treasure with a Disney park item as the treasure.

One Moms Panelist Dad wrote a story for his daughters.

One recommendation on when to tell them. If they are planners or do not like surprises, tell them a few days ahead of time. This way you can watch the Disney Planning DVD together and talk about what you are going to see and do.

If they are easy going and laid back, wait until the day off or even the airport to tell them. Have Disney trinkets ready to entertain them as they travel to the Art of Animation.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
