Hello! I just need some updated, current information for our upcoming trip. I was wondering if I can still send items from the Disney parks to my Disneyland hotel when I am shopping. Is this service still available? Thank you so much for you help!

Welcome back to planDisney, Daranee! I'm so glad you're here, and I’d be happy to help you prepare for your upcoming visit. My family has stayed at the Disneyland Hotel several times, and that sense of wonder and nostalgia still hits every time we walk through the doors. There’s just something special about waking up surrounded by Disney magic, especially when Sleeping Beauty Castle is only steps away!

Now, on to your question. While the package delivery service to all Disneyland Resort Hotels is no longer available, I do have some alternative options that can still make your shopping experience practically perfect. During your time in the parks, you can take advantage of the complimentary merchandise hold service available at select retail locations. This handy offering allows you to shop to your heart’s content without lugging bags around all day. Just bring your purchases and receipts to a participating location (you’ll find a full list on the Disneyland website), and your treasures will be stored safely until the park closes. It’s the perfect way to keep your hands free for clapping along with the Disneyland Band, snapping castle selfies, or spinning through Wonderland on the Mad Tea Party!

If you're staying at the Disneyland Hotel, I also want to spotlight one of the magical perks of being a Disneyland Resort Hotel guest: Early Entry! This benefit allows you to enter one of the theme parks 30 minutes before official opening each day of your stay. Be sure to check the Disneyland website for the current Early Entry schedule so you know which park is eligible on each morning of your visit.

Here’s a Q-Tip for you: if your Early Entry leads you into Disneyland, consider beginning your day in Fantasyland. Attractions like Alice in Wonderland, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and Snow White’s Enchanted Wish typically have much shorter wait times first thing in the morning, making it a charming and efficient way to start your adventure. On one of our past visits, my family enjoyed nearly all the Fantasyland classics (minus Peter Pan’s Flight, which tends to draw an early crowd) before the park even officially opened. It felt like our own little fairy tale come to life!

Daranee, if you have any more questions as you plan your visit, we’re always delighted to help you here at planDisney. We can’t wait to help make your trip as magical as can be!

    Have a magical day!
