Hello, I love the Mom's Panel, great infomation. I will be at Wilderness Lodge from 7/30 to 8/6 and would like to ride a bike with my family. The only problem is I am hadicapped. Is there any way to rent a hand-bike or do you know who I should contact?

Hand bikes are not a standard rental item at the WDW resorts that offer bike rental. I do have a few other avenues for you to explore. I found a source that rents a variety of types of bikes in the Orlando area: orlandobikerental.com. They do not specifically list hand bikes among their inventory, but they appear to be quite knowledgable about bikes in general. My guess is that if hand bike are available to rent in the WDW area, they would know where to find them.

You should know that there are multi-person surrey bikes that are standard rental items at the Wilderness Lodge and several other of the Disney Resorts. I'm not sure the exact nature of your handicap, but it might be possible for your family to rent a surrey and have you along for the ride, without the need for you to pedal. To see photos of the surrey bikes, simply Google "Disney surrey bike" and you'll find lots of images.

You may find it helpful to contact the Wilderness Lodge directly at 407-874-3200. They can transfer you to the bike barn if you have additional questions.

Good luck and enjoy your stay at the WL. I have stayed there many times and love the atmosphere there.
