Howdy Bridget!
Welcome to planDisney, a group of the rootinest tootinest Disney vacation enthusiasts. Thanks for stopping by with your question about verifying your Florida residency for
Walt Disney World theme park tickets. I’m always happy to help a fellow Floridian, so let’s round up an answer for you!
Yeehaw, and Congratulations on your nuptials, Bridget! I’m happy to hear you will be celebrating with a visit to the
Most Magical Place on Earth. It sounds like you need to update your last name on your Disney account before you purchase theme park tickets and verify your residency online so that your name will match your Florida driver’s license. To update your name,
log in to your Disney account online. From here, hover over My Disney Experience on the menu bar and click “Profile” below your name. Click “Manage MyDisney Account” to the right of the screen under “Your Account Settings.” The next page will allow you to update your personal information, such as your name, phone number, and address. Once you have updated your last name and any other fields that need updating, click “Done” at the bottom of the page.
Once your last name is updated in your Disney account, you can purchase your Florida resident theme park ticket and verify your Florida residency online. You can read more about
verifying Florida residency on the Tickets FAQ page. For further assistance with your Disney account, you can reach out to a
Cast Member with Website Support by calling (407)934-7639. Explore the latest special tickets, passes, and offers for Florida residents on the
Florida Resident Disney Theme Park Tickets page.
I hope this information helps you make the necessary changes to your Disney account so you can buy theme park tickets and verify your Florida residency. Have a magical time at
Walt Disney World, Bridget. You’ve got a friend in us at planDisney, so stop by anytime we can round up an answer for you!
