Hi there, Damon!
Welcome to planDisney. I am excited that you want to visit Disneyland Resort in December! It is the
most magical time of year! There are plenty of festive experiences to enjoy, and the
"Believe...in Holiday Magic" Fireworks performance always makes me smile. Don't forget to ride
Haunted Mansion Holiday and
"it's a small world" Holiday!
In my experience, Disneyland Resort can accommodate a wide range of dietary needs. My family has food allergies, and I love that there are plenty of meal options that my entire family can enjoy! Kosher meal information can be found on the
Special Dietary Requests page. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page to see which restaurants offer Kosher meals with no advance notice (subject to availability). This includes Blue Bayou Restaurant, Cafe Orleans, and Red Rose Tavern in Disneyland Park. In Disney California Adventure Park, options include Smokejumpers Cafe and Wine Country Trattoria.
My
planDisney pal Jason recommends first making dining reservations up to 60 days in advance on the
Disneyland website or
Disneyland mobile app. About two weeks before your trip, send an email to Special.Diets@Disneyland.com and include the name of the restaurant and the date for any reservations. Also, let them know about any
Quick Service restaurants you plan to dine in and the approximate time you would like to eat there. Jason suggested emailing Special Diets again about 48 hours before your trip to confirm food options. Kosher meals are subject to availability, making it beneficial to coordinate meals ahead of time.
Disneyland's Kosher meals come from a certified Kosher vendor in sealed packages. The Kosher food supplier may vary. In the past, Disneyland used Borenstein Caterer, Inc. under the supervision of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America. I suggest asking which supplier is currently being used in your email to Special Diets. Kosher meals are prepared and served without breaking the seal, and individually wrapped Kosher utensils are also provided. Just like allergy-friendly meals, Kosher meals can take longer to prepare. I avoid dining during busy times (such as noon) when ordering allergy-friendly meals. Instead, we eat a mid-morning snack and book a late lunch reservation to potentially reduce the time spent waiting for allergy-friendly meals.
Damon, have a wonderful trip to Disneyland Resort! We hope to see you real soon!
Magic Happens!
Jen
