Hello! I am engaged to be married on Oct. 2nd and we are planning the honeymoon for Disneyworld Oct. 3rd - Oct. 10th. I heard that this was a low attendance period with great weather. Would you agree? Is there anything I should be aware of?

Hi, Kayla! Congratulations! There is no better place or time for a honeymoon! October is my family's absolute favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World.  You are right - attendance is less and weather is great.  Epcot will be celebrating the International Food and Wine Festival.  Try food from around the world, attend demonstrations, and/or hear a great concert.  You can read more about it here

It is also the time of year for our favorite special event, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party. The Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a not-to-be-missed hard ticket (requires a separate admission) event!  The Magic Kingdom is decked out in its Halloween finest - including ghosts on Main Street, U.S.A. Characters sport their costumes, too.  Guests of all ages attend in costume, but it isn't required.  Because the number of Guests is limited, you can ride almost every attraction during the party time frame, especially if you follow my family's lead and skip the Trick-or-Treat locations.  HalloWishes is the holiday-themed fireworks presentation that you can only see on party nights.  The Boo-to-You parade is one of my family's favorites. Watch for the Haunted Mansion Cast Members; they are my favorite part. Check the website here for more information.  Just as in years past, there is an advance purchase discount for some nights, so take advantage of that if you can.  Happy haunting!
