Hello, I am a DVC member but never on NYE but am now booked for Dec. 31/16 to Jan. 7/17. I am wondering how is the dining plan cost determined when the trip starts in 2016 but goes into 2017. Do I pay the dining plan based on 2016 prices or a mix? Thanks

    Hi Jonathan,

    Thanks for stoppin' by!

That is such a great question! Since a New Years Eve celebration at Walt Disney World Resort remains an item on my "Disney Bucket List," I did a little digging to to be sure. I was able to confirm that pricing for your Disney Dining Plan will remain the same based on the date of your check-in. Since the first day of your magical vacation will be in 2016, you can expect that that you will pay the same rate for each day of your stay, regardless of the length of your visit. That sounds like a fabulous way to stretch your vacation dollars!

You might already know, but the streets of Walt Disney World Resort will come alive with energy January 4-7, 2016, as athletes from near and far converge for Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Presented by Cigna. If you haven't already, you might consider finding your way to a new distance or revisiting an old favorite where "Every Mile is Magic." Early registration for Disney Vacation Club Members begins Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 12 Noon and runDisney events do fill to capacity quickly.

I hope that helps, Jonathan. Please come back and visit with any further questions!

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
