Hello, I am considering tickets to MNSSHP. Trying to decide if it's something DD6, DH and myself would like to do. Was thinking of doing it on my Bday evening. Do the rides still operate and shops stay open during the event? Thank you for your time

Hi Jamie!   Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your vacation planning questions.  I am honored to be able to help you out today.   Mickey's Not- So- Scary Halloween Party is my 8 year-old daughter's favorite special event that takes place at Walt Disney World.  It is so magical to be able to trick-or-treat in the Magic Kingdom, and see of your favorite Disney friends dressed in adorable costumes. Most  attractions, and plenty of shops are open during the event.  I really think your six year old would enjoy this boo-tiful evening of not-so-scary  fun.

In order to make the most out Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, I suggest a relaxing day at your Resort pool, and a family nap time midday.   This will allow you to stay awake until the wee hours of the morning, riding your favorite attractions, dancing with your favorite pals, and collecting candy until you arms can't hold anymore.   You could even enjoy a delicious birthday meal at Chef Mickey's before heading to the party.   I know your family will enjoy this special event, and you will make plenty of special memories together!  I do suggest you pre-purchase your tickets for the party.  The event is very popular and some nights do sell out.   I don't want you to miss out on any of the fun awaiting you.

If you any additional questions Jamie, please let us know!   We love to help plan magical adventures.

    Have a Spooktacular Day,

    ~Jen
