Welcome, Ailsa, to planDisney!
Sometimes our plans change, and that’s okey-dokey. For
Disneyland Resort theme park tickets, you will be able to use your ticket through the expiration date, as long as the ticket is completely unused. Expiration dates may vary, but for example, one-day tickets purchased as of when I’m writing this message will expire on December 30, 2023. Therefore, you likely have plenty of time to secure a new reservation.
You shared in your question that you could not see any open
reservation dates in the near future. One potential reason for this could be your
ticket tier. Disneyland Resort's one-day tickets use a tiered system, with lower-tiered tickets being more affordable and higher-tiered tickets costing slightly more. Lower-tiered tickets will have more blackout days (i.e., days that the ticket is non-usable), and with the summer coming faster than Lightning McQueen, there are many blackout dates for lower-tiered tickets over the next couple of months. You can view the one-day ticket blackout dates on the
Disneyland Resort website.
One time of the year you may want to consider using your ticket for is the fall season. Autumn is already my favorite season, but there is something about fall at the Disneyland Resort that makes it extra special. It’s the perfect time of the year for a clam chowder bread bowl at the
Harbour Galley, a festive ride through the
Haunted Mansion Holiday, and of course, grabbing a warm cup of hot chocolate.
Best of luck rescheduling your trip, and if there is anything else we can help you with, please feel welcome to come back to planDisney!
Bye-bye,
Lola
