Hi Angela!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We love to vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort with our extended family and friends, so traveling with large groups is the norm for us. You can absolutely book a table for a larger group at most dining locations.
Advance Dining Reservations can be booked 180 days in advance. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can make Advance Dining Reservations for your entire stay, up to 10 days, beginning 180 days before check-in. This is one of the many
benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. With big groups, that head start on reserving popular locations is a great perk! I recommend getting online to book first thing in the morning for the best selection of reservations. Your 180 day window should open at 6 am Eastern Time for online booking.
In my experience, there are occasionally locations that are Disney partner companies, rather than Disney itself, that do not accept reservations for parties larger than 8 when booking through Disney. For example,
Yak & Yeti Restaurant in
Animal Kingdom Theme Park has this policy. If that is the case, it will tell you this when you try to book online, and you will need to call the restaurant directly. I have always had to do this at Yak & Yeti Restaurant, and still never had difficulty getting a large table.
If you are unable to get the reservation you were hoping for, check back frequently, as many people do change their plans, and something may open up. Sending you pixie dust Angela, for luck in securing your perfect Advance Dining Reservations!
