Hi Davey,
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question. I'm happy to discuss
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass details!
Based on everything that has been shared so far, international guests will not have access to advance planning until they are on US soil. Lightning Lane Multi Pass purchases and attraction selections will be available within the My Disney Experience Mobile App, but the features will not be enabled outside of the US. I know this is disappointing, but I believe it has more to do with GDPR rules than
Walt Disney World Resort trying to exclude guests from pre-planning their experiences.
Unfortunately, I can't say whether these rules will change or if there will eventually be a workaround. I recommend keeping an eye on the official social channels and the Disney Parks Blog for more details if and when they become available.
Once you have arrived in the US you'll have access to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass and/or Lightning Lane Single Pass and make eligible attraction return time selections. If you are a guest of a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel you can purchase and plan for your length of stay (up to 14 days). If you are staying off-site you'll have pre-planning access for your multi-day ticket beginning 3 days before your ticket start date. Though you might not arrive in The Sunshine State this many days before your vacation, I'm hopeful experiences will be available to reserve to suit your schedule for the length of your visit.
When I visit the parks with my family we don't always utilize Lightning Lane entrances on each day of our stay. In fact, we visited just a few weeks ago and decided to only purchase an Individual Lightning Lane (soon to be rebranded as Lightning Lane Single Pass) for just one attraction across all days of our vacation. We still accomplished a lot so I think you'll still have a magical time even if you experience everything via the standby line. That being said,
Magic Kingdom Park has a lot of things to try to fit into a single day. If you arrive and can still get access to Lightning Lane Multi Pass return times that work with your other plans, it would certainly help you experience more of the park in less time.
I'd also like to mention that Virtual Queues for attractions like
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT and TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise at Magic Kingdom Park will still be available daily at 7 a.m. EST even when Lightning Lane changes go into effect later this month. Assuming nothing changes between then and your November visit, you'll have equal same-day access to snag a complimentary boarding group along with the rest of the US-based and international visitors.
I hope this helped, Davey. If I can offer any further guidance or answer any additional questions please don't hesitate to come back and let me know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
