Hello, Can you tell me what are RFID tickets and when will they be available? what makes them different then the paper tickets. thank you.

    Hi Lea!

I'll be glad to help out!

Currently, many guests are receiving plastic tickets with RFID technology in them. With these new Key to the World cards, you can simply tap to pay for a gift shop purchase, tap the card to your room door lock or tap the "gate" at the park to enter. It is an "all-in-one" type of solution - no carrying room keys, tickets, etc with you.

With the paper tickets, you would actually insert them into a ticket reader and then go through a park turnstile to enter. If you had separate paper tickets, you would also have a different card to enter the park and/or pay for in park purchases (if you chose to have charging privileges).

The new system combines those items into just one card to carry. And, later this year, when Magic Bands become available, all of these things will be combined into a bracelet that uses the same technology in an even easier access point.

Hope this helps explain it a bit! Please let me know if I can help clarify this a little more for you!
