Welcome aboard, Maria! Disney's Port Adventures are the best! They come up with the most magical, educational, and exciting adventures out there, many with insider experiences that only Disney can do! I'm glad to hear that you're already considering which Nassau adventure is right for you!
Disney Cruise Line's website is so user friendly. I want to point out a few features for searching adventures that will be super helpful for you. When you view the
Nassau Port Adventures page, take a look at the dark blue tabs along the top. Under Activity Level, choose Mild, and then under Accessibility, choose either Wheelchair Transfer Required or Wheelchair Accessible. Even if you're not in a wheelchair, this will help to narrow the adventures to those that won't be the super physical ones with lots of walking, and physical strain.
That being said, under each adventure itself, view the "Know Before You Go" information. It notes specifics of accessibility. For instance, on the Sunshine Glass Bottom Boat, which I'd recommend, it does note that guests must be able to traverse a narrow gangway on the boat and walk up and down about 12 steps. Isn't it wonderful that they lay out these details so well, so you know what to expect?
Now, for some suggestions!
Blue Lagoon Island is one of my favorite places in Nassau. You'll be able to relax and explore to your heart's content! It's a shorter walk than most from the ship down the dock to the ferry boat that will take you to the island. Once there, you'll dock just off the beach, so a leisurely stroll down the dock will find you right at the pristine sandy beach! Discover Nassau By Land and Sea is also a great one, with little walking, and lots of enjoying!
Have fun planning, Maria!
