Hello Wendy from Indiana!
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Sadly, no, the Pirate-themed rooms at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort are no more. They were discontinued in late 2022, and early 2023, and were being redecorated with more traditional room decor. While I did love the whimsical, over-the-top buccaneer decor, the new rooms that have subtle nods to the Little Mermaid are wonderful. They take advantage of the Murphy bed-style couches that are being used in more Disney resorts to offer a family more livable space right up until it is bedtime. They also have a 5th sleeper bed, which will help out larger families.
I have to confess that the Caribbean Beach did not use to rank high on my list of Disney resort hotels that would select for vacation. It is a great hotel, but I felt like the grounds were too expansive and that I spent more time walking to and from my room than I did having fun. That has all changed! It is now my #1, go-to moderate Disney resort. Why?
CARIBBEAN BEACH PERK #1The
Disney Skyliner flies you off in style to
Disney's Hollywood Studios in about 6 minutes, and
EPCOT in about 14 minutes.
CARIBBEAN BEACH PERK #2For that morning cup of coffee that rises above, conveniently located by the Disney Skyliner station at the Caribbean Beach resort is Joffrey's coffee and tea stand. It is a nice place to grab a drink that you can enjoy during your park-hopping travels.
CARIBBEAN BEACH PERK #3Banana Cabana is one of my favorite places for a relaxed, outdoor meal. The covered outdoor seating at night cements the island vibe of the resort theme, and some of the food choices are surprisingly inventive. It is not just the same burger/chicken strips/fries options that you might have expected.
Please feel free to

Have a Magical Vacation!
