Hello Donna,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for cruising by with your questions. We are happy to assist you with your Disney Cruise Line vacation planning.
Wheelchairs on each of the Disney Cruise Line ships are available for medical emergencies only.
Guests requiring a wheelchair during their cruise may bring one for use on the ship. If you require a wheelchair wider than 22", you should reserve a wheelchair-accessible stateroom which has a 32" entrance door and provides a wider path of travel inside the stateroom. There are designated areas on the ship where wheelchairs may be parked if it does not fit in your stateroom. You can check with
Guest Services once on board to locate this area. Keep in mind it may be on a different deck than your stateroom, so you will need to make plans for retrieving your chair.
If you need services such as complimentary wheelchair assistance at the port terminal or wheelchair-accessible ground transportation, please be sure to complete the
Special Services form at least three days prior to embarkation. Since your itinerary includes stops at the lovely
Disney Castaway Cay and the new
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, remember a limited supply of complimentary beach/sand wheelchairs is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Now, how exciting to have two young sailors making this voyage with you! You will be happy to know that table assignments are typically assigned by Disney Cruise Line. I have found that
table assignments are made keeping in mind the ages of the Guests and family size and accommodation needs. And, having recently sailed
Disney Magic, I can tell you there isn't a bad seat in the house at each of the
Rotational Dining restaurants! If you have a special request, I recommend
calling Disney Cruise Line and speaking with a Cast Member who will be happy to help (keep in mind, general table requests are not guaranteed).
You are going to have a wonderful time, Donna! There is so much for
families to enjoy together and your little pirates will enjoy the
activities just for kids! One of my favorite dining venues on Disney Magic is
Animator's Palate where the walls come to life! You won't believe your eyes!
I hope this information helps with your planning, Donna. Sail by again with other questions you may have.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
