Helllo! My whole family is really excited for our first cruise on the Wonder during the week of Halloween. Is there any tips or advice you can give a family of first tme being on a cruise ship? Where to watch the fireworks, any other advice for us? Thanks!

    Ahoy Danyelle!
Congratulations on your first cruise next week!  I'm sure your crew is about to burst with excitement as you count down the final days! Halloween will be fabulous week to experience your first vacation on the high seas because lots of festive fun is planned for all the lucky Guests who will be onboard so be sure to pack your costumes!
My first piece of advice is to bring along a few highlighters to mark your crew's "must-do" activities in your daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator.  This newsletter is delivered each evening so you can plan ahead for the following day.  I recommend taking it along with you wherever you go so you don't miss a thing!  Another tip is to bring along a few water bottles or other beverage containers to use at the 24 hour drink station because the cups are rather small.  For sanitary reasons, you will need to use the paper cups to fill up your cup, but it will save you several trips to refill. ( I also bring along a small bottle of soap to rinse out our cups in our bathroom sink.)  One of my family's favorite treats on the cruise is to order Big Island Cookies from Room Service as well as Mickey Bars which are not on the menu.  Room Service is 24 hrs a day and included in your cruise fare.  Since it is included, be sure to bring some small bills to tip.  An easy souvenir to bring is an item or two that you can drop at Guest Services to have signed by the characters.  Put your items in a plastic bag with some Sharpies and label it on the outside on your stateroom number and last name.  Photo mats, pillowcases, t-shirts, tote bags, a Disney book, a wooden initial and an ornament are just a few of my favorites!
As for Pirate Night, be sure to arrive early and stake your spot up on Deck 10 starboard side of the ship.  We like to look over the railing on to Deck Nine.
I'm about out of room, Danyelle! Please write back if you think of anything else!
