You can certainly visit this resort without dining here. In fact, I recommend it! It's a beautiful resort, and there are lots of great photo ops. I am especially fond of the Mary Poppins topiary! If you travel via monorail, go downstairs to the lobby. Out the main doors is the carriage, and down the hall where 1900 Park Fare is located there are doors leading out to the courtyard with the Mary Poppins topiary.
When we took pictures there we just used our own camera. However, the Grand Floridian is now offering one-on-one sessions with Disney PhotoPass photographers. Here is the official info on those portrait sessions:
You can schedule a 20 minute one-on-one session with a PhotoPass Photographer at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The two package options are:
- $49.95 - Sitting Fee only
- $124.95 - Sitting Fee plus all of the PhotoPass pictures taken by PhotoPass photographers throughout your stay on a PhotoPass CD
The Grand Floridian session must be booked 30 days prior to arrival. The number to call is: 407-824-1700. If you order this with the pre-arrival savings offer, you pay $24.95 for the sitting fee, a 50% savings. Note that this is the only resort currently offering this service.
In case you don't already know, here is the link where you can pre-order the PhotoPass CD:

Have a great vacation!
PS) the Akershus princess breakfast is one of our favorite character meals - you'll love it!
