Hi Heather-Thanks for answering my previous question - what is approx. travel time to get to MK,HS, AK, and Epcot...but I neglected to say from Downtown Disney, oops :-( can you help with this one? Thanks! Thanks!

    Darlene,

To get to the theme parks from Downtown Disney, you'll have to take to buses.  You will need to travel to a resort first, and then transfer to a park bus.

According to www.ourlaughingplace.com , using their transport wizard, here are the best actual travel routes and times:

DTD to Swan Resort, transfer to Hollywood Studios - 33 minutes

DTD to Pop Century, transfer to Animal Kingdom - 43 minutes

DTD to Caribbean Beach Resort, transfer to Epcot - 38 minutes

DTD to Port Orleans-French Quarter, transfer to Magic Kingdom - 39 minutes

It is very important to note that these are only the actual travel times.  This does not allow time to wait for the buses to arrive, which can add 30 minutes or more to the total transfer time on the route.  You'll definitely want to allow yourself a nice cushion of time, just to be safe.  Disney Dining, for example, recommends that you allow at least one hour travel time between your resort and your dining destination.  Since you will be transferring along the way, I think you'll need more than an hour.

    Hope that helps you plan!
