hi Heather I noticed in a previous post you mentioned that your family are not early risers. Mine too. What is the latest you recommend hitting the parks (Dec 12-19)? We already have a few breakfasts booked. Thanks in advance, this column is great.

    Thanks for your question Deb!

I don't think that you will have problems with huge crowd levels while you are in Disney.  Christmas week is their busiest time, but you'll be out of there before that.  (The reason this matters so much is that parks often fill to capacity during the busiest holiday season, and guests may not be able to gain entry into their first choice of parks)

I don't think that you'll have any pressing need to get to the parks early.  We often don't arrive until lunchtime, and that works out fine for us.  Since we aren't morning people, we can more easily stay to close the park down than we can arrive early to open it up!

That said, I would still play it by ear while you are there.  Ask at the concierge desk at your resort, or guest services at the park, and they should be able to give you more guidance on immediate crowd levels.  If it's busier than normal, you may need to plan on earlier arrivals in order to hit all of your must-do attractions.

    Have a great vacation!
