Hi, Heather. My family loves char. breakfasts. How can we schedule several of these in our 7 day trip without wasting early morning touring time?Is it better to eat early/late?We want CRT,Tusker H,Crystal Palace & maybe 1900PF. Is this too much?Thnx

    Rebecca,

We love character meals also, and we often eat one every day.  I don't think what you propose is too much at all!  They are a great way to see the characters without waiting in line in the parks, and the kids are definitely happy to sit down and sit still for a meal with entertainment!

For breakfasts we tend to eat very early or very late, depending on availability and what we have planned that day.  For example, in August we had an 8 am reservation for Donald's Safari breakfast (Tusker House, Animal Kingdom).  The park didn't open until 9 that day, so we were able to enjoy our meal and be ready to leave by the time the park opened.  This allowed us to hop right on the nearby Kilimanjaro Safaris with no wait, and see the gorillas out and active when we left the ride.

If you can get those very early reservations at the in-park restaurants, they actually help you to get more done that day.  I'd try to get the 8 am reservation for CRT (VERY hard to get, just so you know!) and Crystal Palace as well.

For 1900 Park Fare or Chef Mickey's (one of our favorites) we usually book the latest seating available and treat it as more of a brunch.  This allows us to hit the park early and enjoy some rides, then have an early 'lunch' break for breakfast, missing a lot of the crowds.  You may need to employ this strategy with Cinderella's Royal Table as well, or else just reserve lunch there.  As I said, CRT breakfast is extremely popular, and the early morning breakfast ADR's are the most coveted reservation on Disney property.

    Happy feasting!
