I just heard that WDW has cancelled Extra Magic Hours for the remainder of the summer. Why? Is this a trend that we can expect to continue? I love these hours, particularly the evening hours since I live with a bunch of night owls.

Hi, Kimberly!  We were just at Walt Disney World two weeks ago, and there were definitely Extra Magic Hours available then.  I know a few Moms Panel night owls who took advantage of those late extra magic hours to get in the last minutes of our short time together!

I also just checked online to see the calendar, and I made a phone call, and it seems that I can lay your concerns to rest.  If you check out the theme park calendar, located HERE, you will see which parks have extra magic hours on which days through the rest of September.

You may find that the extra magic hours don't go on as late into the night on the evenings where the parks have extra magic hours, but that would be because the regular theme park hours are usually shorter as the summer draws to a close.  I hope midnight is late enough to keep your night owls happy!

    Have a great vacation!
