Hi Sue!
Welcome back to planDisney! Just like you, I’m so excited for the new Zootopia show coming to
Animal Kingdom! My family will be lucky enough to be at the parks about a week after it debuts, and it’s high on my priority list.
At this time, the Virtual Queue for
Zootopia: Better Zoogether! has only been announced for the special previews (for
Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, etc.). No announcements have been made about how the queue will work or whether it will have a
Lightning Lane upon the show’s debut yet.
With the show opening on November 7, 2025, though, we should have that information soon! I’d keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog or
Disney World’s website for any important updates.
Currently, no attractions at Walt Disney World have Virtual Queues (outside of the special previews, of course!). However, all past
Virtual Queues have worked similarly in that you cannot join them until the day you’re visiting the park. If a Virtual Queue is offered, you’ll be able to join by using your
My Disney Experience app.
Since you’ll be visiting Animal Kingdom in early February, it’s also good to note that
DINOSAUR (and the rest of DinoLand U.S.A.) is scheduled to permanently close beginning on February 2, 2026. So, the last day to enjoy that area will be February 1, 2026. This will make way for the new
Tropical Americas (which looks incredible!).
I hope that helps as you plan your upcoming vacation! If you have any other questions, let us know!
