I heard there is a T-shirt store at the marketplace that allows you to design your own t-shirt. we wanted to stop there first thing on our trip so wear them later in the week. Is it worth our while to do this and spend the time at the start of our trip?

    Hi Regina -

The store you're thinking of is the Hanes Design-A-Tee shop in the Marketplace area of Downtown Disney. The shop has about a dozen electronic kiosks where you can create your own Disney-themed shirt. There are several hundred character images you can use and you can customize the design with any (non-offensive) text you want. Shirt sizes are available from infant on up to adult 5XL.

Only you can tell if a trip to Downtown Disney is "worth it", but I can tell you that the time outlay is minimal. It takes about five minutes to design a shirt and 1 to 2 hours for them to print it (depending on how busy the store is). My daughters made Design-A-Tee shirts a few months ago. While we were waiting for them to print we had lunch at the nearby Earl of Sandwich shop and made a lap through World of Disney - and then the shirts were ready.

Have fun and enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World.
