We have heard the tip about considering a taxi ride back to the resort instead of the bus for families with small kids staying late at the parks, but will the taxis waiting outside the parks have a car seat for our 18 month old? Thanks...

Hi Mary Jo! Taxis can certainly be much quicker. Sometimes. At the Magic Kingdom, for example, you'll need to take a monorail or boat to the Ticket and Transportation Center to get a taxi, whereas the buses to Disney resorts wait right out in front.

Florida law requires children under five years of age be properly restrained in a child safety seat in all vehicles, except public buses. The taxi driver will likely insist that you have one. They are not required to have them in their taxis, and I must say, I would be leary using one in a cab. The seat will have been used by others, and you will not know its age, if it is to code etc. I would suggest bringing a car seat from home, or waiting for the bus. I have to say, although the lineups tend to be long at park closing times, they also put on more buses, so it tends to be pretty quick.

    Hope this helps Mary Jo!
