Ahoy there, Monica!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you have some big plans for when you set sail with Captain Mickey this spring. I cannot wait for you to experience all of the
magic included when you cruise to the
Bahamas in April!
I recently was browsing social media and found fun pictures of some friends of the family swimming with the now famous pigs of the Bahamas! My daughter is a fan of these curly tailed creatures, so I am sure this experience is going to end up on our to-do list as well. Disney Cruise Line does not currently offer a
Port Adventure that includes swimming with the famed pigs. Offerings do change, so be sure to check back as you get closer to your sailing.
A quick internet search did return some options for private excursions to swim with the pigs on a neighboring island. You are always welcome to book adventures outside of what is offered by Disney Cruise Line, but you do lose the benefits of scheduling your onshore trips with them including the peace of mind that you are covered in the event your adventure runs late or is cancelled. If you decide to go this route, just be sure you check the return time and that it falls well before your all aboard time at this port since you would be traveling to another island to visit with our pink friends. There are other
Port Adventures in Nassau that include interactions with the local wildlife including dolphin and sea lion encounters if you prefer to book through Disney Cruise Line.
I hope I've steered you in the right direction, Monica. Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before your adventure begins!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
