I have heard that staterooms on other cruise ships have magnetic walls. Is this true of The Fantasy?

    Ahoy, Amber!

When we cruised for the first time, I had NO IDEA that the doors were magnetic and that passengers would decorate their doors. I loved that idea, so for our second Disney Cruise, I made a magnetic scrapbook page holder with different pages for each day. I had also made a set for our friends who were cruising with us, who happened to be in the stateroom next door!

Well, after 13 Disney Cruise Line vacations, imagine the magnet collection that I have amassed! Our stateroom doors are usually out of room on the very first day. So, imagine my delight in learning that the cruise ship walls are mostly magnetic, too! This has taken my stateroom door decorating to a whole new level!

Also, on our last cruise on the Disney Dream, we ordered the Birthday Theme Cabin Decorations for my daughter and I. Guess where they were hanging? Above the bed, from the MAGNETIC ceiling!!!  The decorations were awesome, and we left them up for our entire 5-Night cruise.

So, to answer your question, the walls on the Disney Fantasy should be mostly magnetic. There are always places where the magnets will not stick as well, but you can keep trying.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise on the gorgeous Disney Fantasy. Please come back and visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel if more questions arise before you set sail.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
