Hi- I have heard that starting in 2013 there will be a charge for ordering a Prix Fixe course from a restaurant while on the dining plan, like at Chefs de France. Is this true? And if it is true what will the up charge be? Thanks for your help!

Hi Dina, The printed brochure for the 2013 version of the Disney Dining Plan does state: “Choosing items from a separate prix fixe menu offered at certain locations requires payment of a surcharge in addition to redeeming the number of Table-Service entitlements required at the location.” Disney has not yet publicized which restaurants will be impacted or what those surcharges will be. So unfortunately, I can give you any details yet. Your best bet would be to check back a few weeks in to January when we've had some experience seeing what guests have encountered at the restaurants. Fingers crossed that Disney has just put that on the brochure as a precaution and does not plan to implement it in any significant way!

Hi Dina,

The printed brochure for the 2013 version of the Disney Dining Plan does state: “Choosing items from a separate prix fixe menu offered at certain locations requires payment of a surcharge in addition to redeeming the number of Table-Service entitlements required at the location.”

Disney has not yet publicized which restaurants will be impacted or what those surcharges will be. So unfortunately, I can give you any details yet.

Your best bet would be to check back a few weeks in to January when we've had some experience seeing what guests have encountered at the restaurants.
