Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Anna! I’m so happy to know that you have a
Holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort in the works! There’s nothing like seeing the
Magic Kingdom Park all dressed up for the Holidays!
The weather in Florida can be so unpredictable. As a Floridian, I always pack a pair of shorts for everyone in my family during our Holiday visits, because you never know if a heat wave will squeeze itself into your meticulously planned vacation!
As you’re planning your magical visit, you may notice that typically one of Disney’s water parks will remain open during the Holidays, while the other undergoes renovations. Splash pads at Disney Resort hotel pools will remain open. My girls love the Mad Hatter themed splash pad at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa!
When it comes to theme parks, the
Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station located in the heart of Fantasyland’s Storybook Circus area at the Magic Kingdom Park, will operate all year long.
Epcot also boasts a splash pad near the Innoventions area, when you’re walking on the main path from Future World to the World Showcase. It will remain open, weather permitting.
Anna, I hope you’ll enjoy some of the magical Holiday experiences available to you during your visit.
Disney Springs has a wonderful Christmas Tree Trail, with tree decorations inspired by classic Disney characters and movies. I love Cinderella’s tree! You can also visit with the big man himself, Santa Claus, at Santa’s Chalet at the Christmas Tree Trail cottage!
I hope this information is helpful to you. Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions. Helping you with the details of your next
magical visit is our pleasure!
