I have heard that there are radios/nextels that I can get on the Disney Dream to stay in touch with the kids but I can't find the info anywhere.

Welcome aboard, Donna! One of the many perks to cruising with Disney Cruise Line is that every stateroom comes with two Wave Phones for guests' use onboard the ship and at Castaway Cay.

My husband and I each carry our Wave Phones with us so that we can get in touch if we're in separate parts of the ship and also so that the Youth Clubs can reach us with a call or a text should our children need us as they're playing in the Oceaneer's Club or Lab. Many families give their teens one of the phones so that they are free to wander and explore with new friends, but are only a call away when it's time to meet up. If you're traveling with a large group in more than one stateroom, the phones really come in handy to check in with each other and plan group activities.

With cell phones such a large part of everyone's lives anymore, it's nice to know that Disney offers these Wave Phones as a way to keep in touch. Additional Wave Phones are available for an extra fee should your family want more than the two provided.

I hope that information helps, Donna! Please be sure to let me know if you have further questions before you set sail! I'm happy to help!
