I've heard that their are quiet hours at pools at resorts. I'll be staying at Art of Animation in February, which of the 3 pools are their quiet pools and what times are the quiet hours?

    Welcome to planDisney, Julia!

For me, no trip to Walt Disney World Resort is complete without spending some time poolside, so I am happy to help you with this question!

Julia when someone refers to a quiet pool at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, they are usually referring to a pool other than the main pool. These smaller pools are called quiet pools because they do not have the activities throughout the day that occur at the main pools. The quiet pools often have extended hours, and very often do not have lifeguards on duty.

The Big Blue Pool is the main pool at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The Cozy Cone Pool and The Flippin’ Fins Pool are considered the quiet pools at this resort. Of the two quiet pools, I would say that The Cozy Cone Pool tends to be a little less crowded. Note that there are no quiet hours at the pools, but I find that they tend to be the least crowded mid-morning when most families have not yet returned from the theme parks.

Oh, Julia, there is one amazing thing that you should know. While it may be a little cool in February, every pool at Walt Disney World Resort is heated to a balmy 82 degrees year-round, so you can just keep swimming!

    Enjoy your swim!
