I have heard that you can have purchases taken directly to your DW resort hotel for you after you buy them ... I was wondering if you can have leftovers/desserts from a table service (or Character or Signature) restaurant sent back to your room/hotel?

You can have leftovers from a meal wrapped to enjoy later, but unfortunately you can not have these sent to your hotel. When you have park purchases sent to your resort, they actually don't arrive there until the next day. (Thus, you can't really use this service on the last two days of your trip.) There would be no means to keep your food refrigerated or fresh overnight. And I wouldn't want to see what would happen to a piece of cheesecake kept overnight in a truck in the Florida summer.

I have had desserts from table service meals packed "to go," but I generally only do this during the evening meal or a lunch where we will be going directly back to the resort after dining. All the moderate and deluxe resorts include small refrigerators that you could use to store your leftovers. (Refrigerators may be rented at the value resorts.) Another alternative would be for you to carry a small soft-sided cooler with an ice pack. This would keep your food safe until you return to the hotel.
