Hi Amie,
As soon as Halloween ends, Cast Members will begin working their magic to dress up the theme parks for the holidays. The entire process is quite impressive. One of my favorite videos on the official YouTube channel for Disney Parks is
Time-Lapse Video: Magic Kingdom Park Decorated for the Holidays, with a behind-the-magic look at how Magic Kingdom Park transitions from Halloween to Christmas. The remarkable transformation is done virtually overnight by a very talented, and organized, group of Cast Members.
The family-friendly trick-or-treating, special character meet and greets,
Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, and
Happy HalloWishes fireworks display during
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are all a lot of fun. Our family visited Walt Disney World during Halloween one year and had a SPOOK-tacular time at each of the parks. We attended Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party during a week night and then spent Halloween day at Disney's Hollywood Studios. I personally would choose to be at the Magic Kingdom. The jack-o-lanterns and other decorations around the park are the best. Not to mention the park is home to
the place to be for Halloween, the Haunted Mansion. If you are unable to visit some of your favorite attractions during the night of the party, I suggest spending Halloween at the Magic Kingdom.
Please let me know if I can help answer any other questions before your fall visit. I hope you have a not-so-scary Halloween this year.
Have a magical day!
Bob
