Bright suns, Daisy! The Resistance has built a new base on the remote planet of Batuu, and they are looking for recruits to join their mission against Kylo Ren and the First Order. Rey and BB-8 are going to need your help!
I hear you have some questions about your upcoming journey to Black Spire Outpost. On opening day, Walt Disney World announced it would use a Virtual Queue system for boarding
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. By assigning riders to Boarding Groups, guests essentially get a return time to access the queue for Rise of the Resistance. So in answer to your question,
you and all members of your party who would like to join a Boarding Group can only do so if you've scanned your MagicBand at the entrance of
Disney's Hollywood Studios to show that you are there; unfortunately, Cast Members will not allow you to scan other guests' MagicBands for them.
Once you've been assigned your Boarding Group, you are free to leave the Park, so your Mouseketeers can go back to the room and get some extra shut-eye time (I have two teenage boys, so I understand where you are coming from). Just make sure push notifications are turned on for
My Disney Experience, so you will be alerted if your boarding group is called to return. Depending on how soon your trip is, you may want to check the My Disney Experience app to see if the virtual queue is still being used when you visit. If you have any more questions, visit the
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge FAQ page or the
Disney Parks Blog.
I'm so excited for you to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Daisy! There are so many unexpected twists, and it's a different experience every time you ride it. Ignite the spark!
