I have heard that if you get to MK as it opens you can see the characters come in on the train and then meet them. Does anyone know anything about this?

    Hi Sarah!

If your family is a bunch of early risers then I would definitely start my day at Magic Kingdom early.  By early I mean arriving before the park opens.  The "rope drop" as it is referred to welcomes guests to the park through song and dance.  Guests gather around the area infront of the train station and watch the Main Street Singers perform on the Main Street Train.  As the train pulls into the station it is carrying in it some of everyones favourite Disney characters.  The train pulls into the station and the characters get out of the train to participate in a countdown and a confetti drop to open the park.  All the guests then proceed into the Magic Kingdom.  It's a fun way to start your day at the Magic Kingdom.  Also when you arrive that early the line ups to meet the characters is much shorter then later on in the day.

    Have a magical vacation!
