I have heard about the long walk at AOA to the LM rooms. How far is the transportation stop from the LM rooms distance wise? I have heard a 5-10 minute walk but an approx distance would be of better help for our decision.

    Jennifer,

OK, so nobody can say that the Disney Moms Panel won't go the distance (no pun intended!) for a good question!

I mapped out the walk from the central point in the Little Mermaid section to where you pick up the buses for the Art of Animation resort. The walk takes you alongside the parking lot side of the Lion King section, and you don't have to go through the lobby building (Animation Hall).

The total distance was 1/4 mile.

But let me go further! (again, no pun intended). An average walker that is walking briskly should cover that 1/4 mile in about 4 to 5 minutes. But if you have kids, I would use the "walking slowly" estimate that puts the estimated time to 5 to 6 1/2 minutes.

    I hope that this helps?

Personally, while the section does seem far away, I don't think it is as bad as everyone says. I would endure it to enjoy the new resort!

    Have a magical vacation!
