I’ve heard the hotel air conditioning units are run off of motion sensors. Is this true? We are hot sleepers and don’t want our AC turning off in the middle of the night.

Hi Michael and welcome back to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question about your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

I can totally relate to your question because I live in South Florida, and it gets hot. Air conditioning is a big deal at my house, and it is no different when my family travels. I have found that the AC tends to pause for a bit once it reaches the temperature you set on the thermostat, but in my experience, it hasn't shut off.

My family really likes staying at Disney's Port Orleans- Riverside because there are ceiling fans in the hotel rooms, and it really helps keep the air circulating overnight. We also like to keep bottled water and other beverages in the mini refrigerator in our room and have found that it really helps to keep us cooler during the summer months.

Michael, I hope I've been helpful. Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions. It's always our pleasure to help you with your plans!
