I heard that Goofy picks someone to ride with on the Brainstormer first thing in the morning. Is this true? If so, how do do they pick the child? Thanks!

This is true. I have seen Goofy get on the Barnstormer in Toontown with children at least half a dozen times. With this, as well as almost all special Disney moments, the thing that you really need is luck. You can't sign up in advance or pay any fee for this special treat; you just have to be in the right place at the right time.

I can give you some general ideas for this how to maximize your chances though. As you suggested, when Goofy does show up at the Barnstormer, it is almost always first thing in the morning. We once were the very first in line, trying to be there for Goofy, and he ended up riding with the forth or fifth party. Other times, I'm seen him come out about 15 minutes after Toontown opens. And, yes, sometimes he does ride with the first in line. So, if you want to ride with Goofy, go early and keep your fingers crossed, but there are no guarantees.

    Good luck!
