I have heard that everything in the park is very expensive. What do you recommend buying and bringing to the park in practical prepation of our 6 day trip. Our resort is on International Drive and we are traveliing with children ages 7, 4, and 3.

    Hi Samantha,

Being from New York, I think it is all relative. Having recently come back from a trip to our professional baseball team, Walt Disney World is less expensive. My uncle commented that the price of parking should include a car wash at the game!

I would recommend bottled water which you can refill in the park. You can also bring snacks and even sandwiches  into the park. I would then recommend eating a late lunch or dinner in the parks or the resorts. You want to experience some of the magic of Disney food! The children's meals are reasonable and you do get a good portion. At counter service meals, my husband and I often split them if we are having a big dinner.

If you are travelling with a stroller, throw an umbrella or ponchos in there as well in case of a rain shower. Finally, wipes and zipper top bags are a must to hold leftover food or went gear:)

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
