I have heard the DW does not care if you bring food into the park. Is that true?? Do they just mean a few snacks or are people packing lunches?? We are traveling with 3 kids 8, 5 and 8mo -- they never eat enough to bother with expensive kids meals.

There are restrictions about the type of containers you can bring into the parks (for example, large coolers with wheels are not allowed), but there are no restrictions about the type of food you can bring to the park with you. You are welcome to bring your own lunch -- sandwiches, fruit, snacks, beverages, etc.  As long as you can comfortably carry your food (backpacks, small insulated coolers, and diaperbags work well), then feel free to to bring it to the park with you.

One other thing to note, glass bottles other than those for baby food are not allowed into the park.

    Happy touring!
