Hi Mary,
Welcome home, and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for bringing your question to us today. I love getting the opportunity to help fellow
Disney Vacation Club Members make the most of their membership. It sounds like you are in the final countdown to your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth, you must be counting down the days!
It looks like you will be staying at
Disney’s Old Key West Resort. It was the first Disney Vacation Club resort I stayed at, and I was blown away by the peaceful atmosphere. Catching the boat to
Disney Springs was such a fun and relaxing way to reach the dining and entertainment district.
Mary, I checked with Cast Members, and they confirmed that there is no scheduled maintenance on the dock, so you should have no problem catching the boat over to Disney Springs. However, the maintenance schedule is always subject to change. Should the boats ever be unavailable, you can always rely on the Disney bus service, there are several bus stops across the resort.
When we stay at Old Key West, we always stop by
Conch Flats General Store. It often has one of the best selections of Disney Vacation Club merchandise at Walt Disney World.
I hope this answers your question, Mary. Have a fantastic vacation at Walt Disney World. If you have any more questions, please
reach out to me, I would love to help!
Have a magical day,
Matt
