I've heard some of the bus rides can be lengthy. To save time, can we eat our pre-packed breakfast on the bus on the way to the park?

    Hello Jessica!

As the mother of four, I am all about saving time and money on our Walt Disney World vacations. We do not rent a car and always use Disney’s complimentary transportation. At one time I lived in a city and relied upon public transportation, and so I don’t find the bus rides at Walt Disney World to feel lengthy. But that really is a matter of perspective. Depending on where you are traveling between, you could occasionally experience a bus ride as long as 20 to 25 minutes, but I feel that most rides are in the 10 to 15-minute range.

When my oldest son was small, he memorized the welcome speech aboard Walt Disney World buses. He could recite the entire thing and it always gave fellow Disney fans a giggle. He would be able to tell you that there is “…no eating, drinking, or smoking while onboard the motorcoach.” Being the rebel that I am, I have been known to take a sip of my water bottle on the bus, but as a general rule, eating breakfast onboard would be discouraged. This creates a cleaner and more pleasant environment for all Guests onboard the buses. I would recommend leaving yourself an extra few minutes to enjoy your breakfast before you head to the parks.

I hope this helps as you plan your visit, and please let us know if you have additional questions. We are here to help!
