Hola, Zoe! Welcome back to planDisney!
We're so happy that you stopped by again. Your question put a huge smile onto my face because I was lucky enough to have been in the audience at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event when the announcement about the first ever attraction based on Pixar's Coco was made. Boy, did we go crazy when Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D'Amaro dropped this piece of news! After that, it didn't take long to hit the
Disney Parks Blog.
We were treated to Ernesto de la Cruz singing "Remember Me" onstage (he's definitely making sure he's not fading from existence!) which was awesome. No mention of an associated character meet and greet was made in regard to this attraction and I'm afraid it's too early to know anything more definitive. I would recommend keeping a close watch on the
Disney Parks Blog as the opening of this attraction nears but until then, we've got plenty of time since construction doesn't begin until 2026.
Did you also see the announcement about the new
Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort? The Disneyland Resort is my home Park, but this would easily convince me to plan a visit back to Florida!
If you're interested, one place that Ernesto de la Cruz seems to appear consistently would be when the barrier between his world and ours weakens during nights that
Oogie Boogie Bash takes place. He can be found crooning to his adoring fans at his own exclusive Treat Trail. It's really something and I would highly recommend attending, especially if you are a fan of Halloween! The Villains roster for this event is subject to change every year.
Zoe, I wish I could offer more concrete news for you. Nevertheless, these are exciting times for us Disney Parks fans and we've got a lot to anticipate! And if you think of any more questions... "Remember me, though I have to say goodbye..."
