I have heard that going to Aqua Duck immediately after arriving upon ship,is a great way to beat lines. Is there somewhere to leave our day bags while we ride?

Welcome aboard, Jennifer! You are absolutely right! Since the AquaDuck is so popular, you may find a long line during your cruise, especially on sea days. But, if you plan it right, your family can enjoy the AquaDuck with little to no line!

My favorite times to ride it are right after getting on the ship or while the ship is in port. Plan to bring your swimsuits in your day bags (or wear them under your clothes) and head right up to the pool deck when you get on the ship. You'll be encouraged to go to lunch at Enchanted Garden or Cabanas. But, you are also welcome to go right to the pool, grab a seat, ride the AquaDuck and enjoy lunch poolside. The quick bite spots near the pools open around noon that first day, which makes it very easy to relax by the pool and enjoy lunch as the kids play. Change into your suits in the restrooms near the pools. You'll need to keep your bags with you, but most guests feel comfortable leaving them at their lounge chair near the pool with towels. I've never had a problem with doing so. Just don't leave any valuables. You might have someone sit with your bags while the others ride and then swap, if that makes you feel more comfortable.

If you are stopping at a port of call where you don't have any particular Port Adventure scheduled, that's another great time to find the AquaDunk line to be short. It doesn't mean you can't go explore the port, but heading off the ship a bit later than the other guests or getting back on earlier means that there won't be as many folks enjoying the pool at that time, so you can ride over and over!

Have fun planning, Jennifer! Let us know if you have any other questions before you set sail!
