Hi Nicole!
Welcome back to planDisney!
I’m happy to report that park hopping will remain the same when it comes to park reservations for
Annual Passholders. So, if you
make a park reservation for a different park in the morning and visit that park, you’ll be able to hop over to Magic Kingdom without having a separate reservation (pending park capacity).
The big change for park reservations really affects the weekdays. Currently, you’re able to visit
Magic Kingdom after 2 PM on weekdays without a park reservation; however, once the
Starlight parade debuts on July 20, 2025, you will no longer be able to do that. Even if you plan to start your park day by visiting Magic Kingdom on a weekday after 2 PM, you will need a park reservation for that park.
As far as planning your
park hopping day, we recently learned that there will be 2 showings of the Starlight parade each night upon its debut: 9 PM and 11 PM. I’d plan to give yourself some grace when it comes to the timing of it all. My guess is that the parade will draw a good amount of crowds because it looks incredible! Entry into the park is pending capacity, so I’d recommend getting there early enough to make your way into the park and grab a spot for the parade if that’s a priority for you!
It’s also good to note that there will be no showings of the Starlight parade on
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights, so make sure to check out the party dates prior to planning your park days.
I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions!
