We are heading to WDW in 2 wks. We are staying at the Riverside. I read that the beach towels are provided there for free. Is that so? And can we take these towels to the water park instead of renting small ones there?

    Hi Caroline!

Yes, towels are provided at the pools of the moderate and deluxe Walt Disney World resorts. There will be a several large towel carts where you can pick up towels for each of your party. However, its requested that you return these towels to a towel return container near the pool before you leave the area. These towels shouldn't be removed from the resort area and taken elsewhere in Disney.

The towels at the water parks are just a couple of dollars to rent - and it is nice to be able to just be able to return those soaking wet towels before heading on buses back to your resort.

If you'd prefer, you are welcome to bring large beach towels from home. However, our family finds it easier to just drop the rental towels into a towel return and not worry about drying and packing them.

Hope this helps! Have a great time!
