We're heading to WDW in October, and just booked out trip this past weekend. It seems all the character dining experiences are booked solid already. Do more reservations typically open up as the date gets closer (perhaps with cancellations)?

    Hi there Meredith!

How exciting to be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in October! I know you must be super excited to have your trip officially booked so that you can start planning all of those important details like Advanced Dining Reservations.  I'm so sorry to hEAR that you have been unsuccessful in finding a Character Dining experience for your dates of travel. Unfortunately, Character Dining is very popular and can book up several months in advance. That being said, I have been able to find availability for Character Dining experiences closer to our date of arrival. You never know when someone else may change their plans and cancel their Advanced Dining Reservation in order to avoid losing their deposit. I would definitely recommend that you check back periodically to see if anything becomes available.

I hope this information helps. Please don't hesitate to reach out again with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a magical trip, Meredith!

    Bon Appétit,
