Welcome Home Karen!
How exciting that you will be heading to Walt Disney World in just a few days! Surprising your family with a trip is so much fun. We surprised my middle son for his fifth birthday and it is such a special memory for us. Be sure to take photos or a video of the big reveal!
While there isn’t Monorail service between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot, you do have a variety of transportation options. If you will have your own car, the fastest is of course to drive yourself. The drive time is around 10 to 15 minutes. Bus transportation is available, and the actual time on the bus is also around 15 minutes. The most scenic route would be to use Disney’s
complimentary boat transportation. These boats run between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot, and the trip is approximately 35 minutes. This will allow you to enter Epcot through World Showcase between the Great Britain and France Pavilions. The waterway also has an adjacent sidewalk, so if you would like to make the 25 to 30 minute walk yourself, this is a great way to burn off all the delicious Disney dining you may enjoy during your vacation!
Keeping some drinks and snacks in your room is a great idea. At Disney’s Art of Animation you’ll have a mini fridge and a microwave. During our stay there, we made a light breakfast of oatmeal and coffee in our room each day. While I usually have groceries delivered through Garden Grocer, my fellow Moms Panelist
Brandy recommends the Publix located at 9930 Universal Boulevard in Orlando as it is easily located just off the interstate.
Wishing you a magical and unforgettable Walt Disney World vacation!
