We are heading to WDW in August. I know it's sure to be hot, and one of the things we've heard that is fun (and cool) is touring the different Disney Hotels. Is this possible? How difficult would it be to spend a hot afternoon going from hotel to hotel?

    Hi Rochelle!

There are two hotel areas that are very easy to tour:
    • Magic Kingdom area resorts: These resorts are connected by the monorail and boat ferries, so it is quite easy to tour 5 resorts in an afternoon. Personally, a touring strategy I would recommend is to take the Monorail from the Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian (skipping the Contemporary, even though its your first stop). Tour the Polynesian and then walk or hop back on the Monorail to the Grand Floridian. Once you're done there, take the monorail to the Contemporary and tour the resort. From the Contemporary, take the boat to the Wilderness Lodge and enjoy some time at this wonderful resort. And, last, you can walk or boat over to Ft. Wilderness from the Wilderness Lodge. Whew! That's a lot of touring, so you'll definitely fill up an afternoon!
    • Boardwalk Area: At the Boardwalk area, you'll be able to walk between the Boardwalk Resort, Yacht & Beach Clubs and the Swan & Dolphin resorts. There are also boats which run between the resorts but walking will be much quicker!
At each resort, be sure to stop by the Lobby Concierge and ask for a calendar or schedule of events. Maybe you'll find an activity or two that you'd love to enjoy. The Wilderness Lodge also has a Hidden Mickey scavenger hunt sheet that leads you around the resort in a quest to find some hidden Mickey shapes!
    Enjoy your resort hopping!
