Hip hip hooray, Roxanne. I'm so glad you found your way to planDisney today!
When my husband and I first started visiting Walt Disney World Resort, we would be in the theme parks from rope drop to park close. Over the years, however, we’ve changed the way we experience the parks, taking more time to rest and relax along the way. Thus, I completely understand your predicament. Since you are visiting during the peak heat of summer, it’s important to take time to rest and escape the heat. With that in mind, I would dedicate a day to
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, followed by an evening at
Magic Kingdom Park the next day for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. If you tried to do both on the same day, you would likely be too exhausted to truly enjoy all that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has to offer. This event is spooktacular in every way, so you’ll want to make sure you have enough energy to stay from beginning to end. I still think it’s a good idea to take a rest day though, so my suggestion would be to take a rest day the day after you attend
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Trust me - you will need to recuperate after being there late into the night.
Roxanne, I hope this helps you finalize your magical trip itinerary. To help pass the time while you count down to your vacation, be sure to tune in to the

You are the magic,
