We’re heading to Hollywood Studios on Thursday, is the Percy Jackson exhibit still open?

Welcome to planDisney, Monica, and thanks for this great question. There is no need to "Apollo"-gize because we love to help guests plan their Walt Disney World Resort visits. I just returned from Disney's Hollywood Studios, and I have some news to share about everyone's favorite teenage demigod.

When I visited a few days ago, the Percy Jackson Behind the Scenes Exhibit was located near the entrance to the screening theater at the back of the Walt Disney Presents walk-through attraction. My tip is to take your time and enjoy the fabulous displays and artifacts about Walt Disney's life and career. The toy cases fascinate me every time!

At the end of the Walt Disney displays, you can join the queue to meet Ariel from the live-action Little Mermaid. She's as charming in person as she is in the film! But if you turn to the right toward the theater gallery, you'll go down a short ramp and be transported to the world of Percy Jackson!

There are cases with costumes, props, and trivia displayed throughout the large space, all from the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I especially got a kick out of the complete costumes worn by Percy and his pals, down to their scuffed-up sneakers.

I asked the Cast Member attendant how long the exhibit would be there, and she said there had yet to be any announcements about a closing date. She said exhibits typically stay for a few months, and this one has only been open for a few weeks. And with the series just renewed for a second season, I'm sending Zeus' lightning bolts that it will be around for a while.

When I visited, the 10-minute behind-the-scenes film about the making of the series was not showing because the theater was undergoing a refurbishment. The Cast Member said it could be closed for another couple of weeks, so this short movie might not be available during your trip.

While at this park, I hope you spend some time in Toy Story Land. One of my favorite quick-service meals is at Woody's Lunchbox. Try the Plant-based "Totchos" for a flavorful and filling lunch. I also typically purchase Genie+ Service to experience Slinky Dog Dash with a shorter wait time. As Slinky says, "Hang on!"

Monica, I hope your visit this week is as powerful as Poseidon and as lovely as Athena. Enjoy the exhibit, and say hi to Woody for me. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
